The main differences between Bitcoin and Ethereum

01.08.2022

Bitcoin has become the first and most famous cryptocurrency.

“Digital gold” was created as an alternative to fiat money to pay for goods and services.

Ethereum ranks second in capitalization after Bitcoin.

Its main difference is that it is a multifunctional blockchain–based platform with the ability to create  Smart contracts – an electronic algorithm in which the parties can exchange money or assets.

An important point is also the limited emission of Bitcoin, unlike Ethereum (today, 19 million BTC out of 21 million have already been mined).
