IWI Global Service is opening a new diamond deposit.
It is located near the settlement of Banalia in the Oriental Province (Orientale Leaube), Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Historically, the Congo has been a producer of copper, cobalt, diamonds, and gold. The country is home to both large mining companies and small artisanal miners, with approximately 150,000 according to the International Labour Organization.

According to an official report prepared for the Banalia deposit, various test sites have shown the presence of diamonds in the gravels of lowlands and riverbeds.

Using geophysical methods, the total diamond reserves have been estimated to be 3,500,000 carats, with 711,640 carats of high-quality diamonds among them.

As a result of the research, a certificate has been issued by the Ministry of Mines in Kisangani.
